Catherine Jolee Bellinger was born at Desert Palms Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada. Her mother never married the father of her child, and soon moved her kds to West coast. Tired of moving around from place to place her entire life, Catherine left home as soon as she graduated from high school and high tailed it to Seattle. She lived there for a year where she met Eddie Willows who was trying to make it big as a band manager. Together they moved back to Vegas where Catherine inevitably started supporting his dreams. A family friend, Sam Braun, helped her get a job at the Palace as a waitress. However, it soon became clear that the big money was in the exotic dancing. She urged the club owner to give her a chance and soon enough she was making at least a grand a night. During her breaks, off the clock cops and criminalists would regal her with tales of crime scenes, which is what piqued her interest in forensic sciences. With the help of a mentor, Jimmy Tadero, she went to college and managed to get a degree. Jimmy introduced her to Gil Grissom who gave her an entry level lab tech assistant position. By 1995, She had made it to level two CSI, and was now pregnant. Convinced that she had a good relationship with Eddie they married. After another year and a half, Cath was promoted to CSI level three. However, as her career advanced, her marriage started to fail, and eight years later, Catherine and Eddie divorced. Catherine has said many times that she didn't become a CSI because she wanted to right the wrongs of the world - she became a CSI because it makes her feel like a kid solving puzzles. She loves the challenge and she loves the buzz of working a case.
